It sounds to me like they will be released. But even if they are, and they should be, THEY SHOULD NOT CANCEL THE LAWSUIT for violation of rights. That’s the real danger; that the state/county will “deal” the criminal charges away by making it a condition of the “freedom” to drop the civil action.
The sheriff and the District Attorney are the one’s who should be charged with criminal activity. A common law grand jury should be convened and they should present the facts to that body to see if they want to indict the public officials, who have acted “under color of law.”
